PIPEMEDIC® SYSTEMS
Structural Pipe Repair, Inside or Out
Deteriorated and leaking pipes are a major concern for owners and operators. PipeMedic® by QuakeWrap® offers a complete line of FRP products and patented technologies for pipes from 4 in. (100 mm) to over 180 in. (4.5 m) in diameter. Most repairs are trenchless, with zero or minimal excavation.
Can increase the pipe's pressure rating significantly.
Inside or outside
Repairs done internally or externally.
Thin lining
Typically about ¼ in. (5 mm) added wall thickness.
Better flow
A smooth FRP lining improves flow in most cases.
Minimal downtime
Fast repairs that cure within a day.
Spot or full renewal
Ideal for damaged sections or full pipelines.
Any size and shape
From 4 in. to over 180 in. in diameter.
CERTIFICATIONS & TESTING
Certified for Drinking Water. Tested Under Pressure.
The QuakeWrap® wet layup system is listed by IAPMO R&T to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for drinking water pipes 6 in. and larger, and tanks: Active, checked October 20, 2026 (N-11990, NSF/ANSI/CAN 61-2023). QuakeWrap® FRP systems are evaluated in IAPMO UES Evaluation Report ER-828 under Acceptance Criteria AC125 and AC178.
NSF/ANSI 61 & IAPMO
Drinking water listing and IAPMO UES code evaluation.
TRI deflection test
46-in. StifPipe® tested by Texas Research Institute.
GTI pressure test
PipeMedic® laminates held 250 psig across a 24-in. gap in gas main tests.
Fixing the tunnel from the inside with QuakeWrap not only saves us money but is minimally invasive to our busy campus.

PENSTOCK“
QuakeWrap provided an innovative, multi-purpose FRP liner design that not only targeted the leak problems, but also provided additional structural strengthening… which increased the life cycle of the penstock.

PipeMedic® FAQs
Can pipes be repaired without excavation?
In most cases, yes. PipeMedic® repairs are typically trenchless, lining or strengthening the pipe from the inside with zero or minimal excavation.
What pipe sizes can PipeMedic® repair?
PipeMedic® repairs pipes from 4 in. (100 mm) to over 180 in. (4.5 m) in diameter, from damaged sections to full pipelines.
Is the system safe for drinking water pipes?
Yes. The QuakeWrap® wet layup system is listed by IAPMO R&T to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for drinking water pipes 6 in. and larger, and tanks: Active, checked October 20, 2026 (N-11990, NSF/ANSI/CAN 61-2023). QuakeWrap® FRP systems are also evaluated in IAPMO UES Evaluation Report ER-828 under Acceptance Criteria AC125.
Should the repair be internal or external?
Internal lining works from inside the pipe, usually with no excavation. External wrapping restores pressure capacity on corroded pipe you can reach from outside. Our team will recommend the right approach for your pipe.
Does QuakeWrap make new pipe too?
Yes. StifPipe® can be made in a factory or at the job site for new pipe installation. It is custom designed for each project's loads and site conditions.
What other below-ground structures can PipeMedic® systems repair?
Storage tanks, manholes, vaults, junction chambers, lift station wet wells and well casings at mines and other facilities. The system is selected for the loads, environment, site access and type of structure, and in most cases a standard manhole entry is enough to bring in the materials and equipment.
Can FRP increase a pipe's pressure rating?
Yes. FRP can increase a pipe's pressure rating significantly. At Cobb County, Georgia, a carbon FRP system was designed for 65 psi operating pressure on 36-in. steel pipe.
