COST ESTIMATOR

PileMedic® Cost Estimator: Estimate Your Pile Repair Materials

Enter the jacket diameter and the length of pile to repair. The estimator returns an approximate material cost for the PileMedic® jacket and epoxy, the spacers and banding, and the GFRP rebar, plus a total.

  • Two inputs: jacket diameter and repair length
  • Itemized material estimate
  • Approximate only; your engineer sets the design

PileMedic® Cost Estimator

Enter the jacket diameter and the length of pile you need to repair. The estimator works out an approximate material cost for the PileMedic® jacket and epoxy, spacers and banding, and GFRP rebar.

Approximate material costs only; your costs may vary with your solution requirements. The jacket diameter is typically 4 to 6 in. (100 to 150 mm) larger than the pile. Assumes 6 spacers every 2 ft (600 mm) and 6 GFRP rebars. Bottom seal, grout and ShearWraps™ are not included.

HOW TO USE IT

Three Steps to an Estimate

  1. Measure the pile

Find the diameter of the pile across the section to be repaired.

  2. Add the annulus

Enter a jacket diameter 4 to 6 in. (100 to 150 mm) larger than the pile. The jacket wraps the spacers, not the bare pile.

  3. Enter the repair length

Enter the height of pile to be jacketed, in feet, and calculate.

WHAT IT COVERS

What the Estimate Includes and Leaves Out

Item In the estimate Basis
PileMedic® jacket and epoxy Yes Laminate wrapped twice around the jacket plus an 8 in. overlap, over the repair length
Spacers and banding Yes 6 spacers every 2 ft (600 mm)
GFRP rebar Yes 6 bars over the repair length
Bottom seal No See PileMedic® Bottom Seal
Grout No See the grout volume guide below
ShearWrap™ for steel piles No Made for each project
Labor, diving and freight No Material items only

GROUT

Grout Volume per Foot of Repair, Round Piles

From the PileMedic® installation guide. Add the annular space volume to the volume of any lost pile section. One 50 lb bag of PileMedic® UW Grout yields about 0.45 cu ft.

Cost Estimator FAQs

How accurate is the estimate?

It is approximate. It prices the main PileMedic® materials from two inputs and fixed assumptions. Your costs will vary with the design, pile condition and site. For a firm number, request a consultation.

What jacket diameter should I enter?

The jacket diameter, not the pile diameter. It is typically 4 to 6 in. (100 to 150 mm) larger than the pile, because the spacers hold the jacket off the pile to leave room for grout.

Does the estimate include installation?

No. It covers the PileMedic® jacket and epoxy, spacers and banding, and GFRP rebar. Bottom seal, grout, ShearWrap™, labor, diving and freight are not included.

Does it work for square piles?

Enter an equivalent jacket diameter. The installation guide sizes the jacket for a square pile as if its diameter were the pile width × 1.41 + 1 in., which clears the corners.
